giggles here and there. “Why do you act so standoffish? Even when we talk on the phone, you’re in it one minute and then the next you’re quick talking me and standing me up.”
“It’s not like that.” She responded, leaning over to pull the patron bottle out of the bag. “I think I need a drink… Shots?”
Dillon grinned. She was cute and funny and loved dodging answers to questions he threw at her. “Okay,” he said getting up to walk into the kitchen. “Let me grab the shot glasses.” You just don’t know what you’re getting yourself into . He quickly thought while going in his cabinet, grabbing two shot glasses that he’d gotten as a souvenir on a trip to Las Vegas.
Zoe watched him as he made his way back into the living room where she was sitting. He was handsome as hell with his low haircut, deep waves, sexy dark skin, and smooth bedroom eyes. All she could do was smile. She wanted him and she wanted him bad, but she definitely couldn’t let him know it. Olivia was already drunk in love with Zay. She didn’t want to play it to close and be in the same situation as her. If what Zay had ran in the family then she would be up shit creek without a paddle. She definitely didn’t want that, being that she was already informed that he was nothing but a player.
“So, do you want me to pour or you?” He asked, but she quickly popped the top on the Patron and poured her shot glass full then handed him the bottle.
“You pour your own troubles,” she said with a smile as she threw the drink back and swallowed it quickly. The frown on her face caused Dillon to laugh out loud.
“You sure you wanna do this?” he asked, thinking that everything Zoe did turned him on. She had just better be ready for him.
“Your turn,” Zoe said, definitely ignoring his question.
“Okay, if you say so.” He responded while pouring his drink then quickly turning it up with no frowns whatsoever.
Zoe was a bit stunned. “Well damn,” she said. “You were ready, huh?”
“I stay ready,” Dillon nodded with a handsome smile spread across his face.
Five more shots later, Zoe had definitely started to let her guard down as she and Dillon talked. The way she laughed was sexy, the way she bit her lip when teasing him was sexy, the way she’d flip her long hair out of her face was sexy, the sound of her voice was sexy, everything about her was sexy and Dillon was enjoying just having her be there. He was really feeling her, but was definitely on guard a bit. His brother was already drunk in love with her sister. If what Olivia had, ran in the family then he would be fucked. Love wasn’t a game he wanted to play around with. All he wanted to do was fuck and go or in this case, fuck and she goes.
“So, do you have a girlfriend? I know a nigga that looks as good as you have somebody that you’re seeing.”
Dillon sat quietly for a moment like he was thinking. “I’m gonna be honest. I don’t have a girlfriend. However, I do talk to a few women.”
“A few women, huh?” Zoe pondered with her lips tooted. “Do you sleep with all these women?”
“No,” Dillon answered. “Some are just friends that like to call and check on me every now and then.” He confided. “I’m single. I don’t have any ties to anyone.”
Zoe nodded her head, appreciating his honesty. “Have you ever had a woman that you were in love with? Do y’all still keep in touch?”
“I had a girlfriend that I was linked to back in the day when I was a freshman in college.” He grinned just thinking back. “That was some ten years back. I can’t lie, I loved her.”
“What was her name and what happened?” Zoe nosily asked with raised eyebrows.
“Her name was Rihanna and she ended up moving away.”
Zoe frowned. “Rihanna, like the singer Rihanna?” She questioned.
“Yeah… same name, different person.” He answered almost smiling, but mixed with a frown.
Zoe laughed. “You got jokes, I see.”
“No, you’re
