pulled back and stared heatedly down into her face. Both of their eyes were dilated to almost black, their wolves close to the surface. Their hands were everywhere at once, all over each other. He yanked her shirt up and exposed her breast to his hot hands and mouth. Her bra provided little protection from his invading mouth. His shirt was pulled roughly over his head and tossed to the ground, where it landed on top of hers.
Blake felt his fur ripple under his skin in excitement. He stopped and stared down at Amber’s bright yellow eyes. She flashed him a smile, pulled from his arms and darted for the door before he could grab and pull her back. Yanking it open Amber ran hard and fast towards the woods.
Blake stood in the door stunned as he watched her run while ripping the bra from her body. Only stopping long enough to strip her jeans off with a look over her shoulder she yelled, “What are you waiting for?” She ran naked to the clump of trees.
Making coffee forgotten, Blake followed her, but didn’t strip as she had. He ran towards the tree he had seen her disappear behind, wondering what the hell his wild woman was up to.
The change this time was not agonizing for Amber. Her wolf emerged smoothly as she knelt on the ground. The wolf’s black coat shined brightly in the morning sun that seeped through the tall trees. She could hear the soft footsteps that fell on the blades of grass and scattered leaves indicating that Blake was running towards her. She could smell his wolf.
As he drew closer the black wolf stepped out from behind the trees. Blake stopped as he froze in his tracks, staring in wonder at seeing her in wolf form. He knew her wolf would never attack him, but he remained still as Amber slowly walked towards him. Muscles rippled along her slender frame while she stepped lazily around him.
“How?” Blake asked in stunned silence, sinking to the ground with her nuzzling at the hand he held out to her.
He could see intelligence in the wolf’s eyes and knew that Amber was aware of him. His hands sank into her thick shiny coat, his fingertips buried in the lush fur at her neck. His fingers brushed along the thin leather strip that held the stone he had noticed she wore all the time.
Her wolf allowed him to stroke her, loving the feel of his hands on her. With a low whine, her wolf called to his. Blake felt his skin rippling, his wolf was fighting to be released, to join his mate.
He shook his head in amazement. “How are you doing this? Full moon is not for another few days,” he told her, frowning. He shouldn’t be changing, but he was! Skin crawled with fur, his bones began to contort. Blake stood quickly, shedding his jeans in time. His transformation took place swiftly, painlessly.
She was larger than most female wolves, but his wolf towered over and outweighed her by a good fifty or sixty pounds. Where she was sleek, his muscles bulged while he stood in front of her. His wolf was the perfect male and her wolf was excited.
Amber didn’t know if it would work or not, but she pushed lightly on her thoughts and reached for Blake’s wolf.
Can you hear me? She asked tentatively.
His wolf stared at her in amazement and smiled a wolfish grin as he nudged her. Yes baby, I can hear you. How is this happening? He followed when she turned to head deeper into the woods.
I thought wolves communicated with one another all the time. She responded.
No, I mean the changing. We aren’t in our phase.
Honestly, I don’t know. Since my change started, I have been shifting all the time. It’s never mattered what the phase of the moon is.
Blake’s wolf was tired of the human side of him monopolizing his mind and pushed for control. Amber and Blake felt the laughter between them as his wolf pushed itself into her side, nudging her deeper into the woods. They lazily began to lope along. Amber’s wolf turned her head and looked at him with amusement in her eyes and took off
