house without ever having met face to face, especially
when she was always so focused on privacy.
Tanya told authorities she did it because she did
actually trust him. Plus she knew it would be impressive to her
family to have a well-off American coming to see her. These family
members were people who had been mostly negative and judgmental
around her since she became pregnant.
She saw him drive up and was immediately in awe of
how handsome he was. She loved light-skinned men and Roberts
northern European heritage left him even whiter than she had
foreseen from pictures.
Her thoughts turned to the early two or three months
of the online courtship. This is the time frame which she admitted
to the police she was falling for Roberts. She actually tipped for
him the day before she met Bendato. It all changed for her and
Roberts when she met Martinez. She tipped away from Roberts slowly
and then at an accelerated pace after that.
So why was she meeting with him now?
Curiousity. Plain and simple. That and a total lack
of anything else to look forward to. Single moms were heavily
damaged goods and she wasn't being actively pursued by any man.
Even her old stand-bys who would always be there to
satiate her need for attention were nowhere to be found. The stand
bys: those guys who always let it out that they want her, but never
make her feel anything for her. They'll spend money and time and
are syrupy nice, but they'll never get the romance they want/
So why not give this Roberts a look in person? In her
mind that was a simple but great reason: Why not?
From Tanya's perspective, it all shifted back in a
whole other on that first meeting. She was instantly taken by his
appearance and his relative calm. He charmed her mom Gladys (who
had always been a big supporter of Tanya and Sam, the international
couple.)
When he arrived, they embraced at the door. Her
cousins were there. Her mom. And then her mouthy brother Darren,
(who couldn't stand seeing her run around the house with very
little clothes on, and let her know it.)
Roberts froze when he saw Darren, but only
briefly.
Chapter 16--Reality Porn
“I have to do this, but this guy means nothing...”
she texted to her lover as she kept Samuel Roberts enthralled with
her command of sports, entertainment, politics, business. It looked
like one. To him it actually felt like a real date and a real
meaningful connection.
...
That first night they went to dinner and a movie.
With her mother watching Lisa, the evening was Tanya's and that
meant it was also Samuel's. He took control he called the shots
from the beginning.
The biggest reason is he had abstained from porn for
weeks prior to the trip. His sexual energy was at it's peak.
However, he had not abstained from sex which was also key.
He knew from study and experience. women were more
attracted to men who are in committed happy relationships? It was
plain to Roberts. Men who are having satisfying sex regularly seem
to attract women more often without any intention towards doing so?
They'll even be heard saying things like: “Why is it I couldn't get
a girl's attention before, but now that I am seeing X (insert
name), women are everywhere showing interest.”
Roberts was on his game like never before. He had
great natural sexual energy and Tanya, against her better judgment
and logic, was attracted to him. After all, she had previously
stated her intentions to not be part of Roberts' life and how she
had no romantic interest in him. Similarly, she was logically
unswayed by his sacrifice making the trip.
It was more than all that added up. It was magnetism
and he exuded it.
They spent that night by starting in an outdoor
rooftop hot tub at his boutique hotel in the an upscale mall area
of Manila. Tanya saw his ripped torso emerge from the locker area
and she immediately felt a need to have her body explored by this
