of the fact that he had an uncanny knowledge of the most sensitive areas of her body and that he knew how to manipulate them in a way she had never known. It was not the skilled technique of a practiced lover or an experienced seducer. Her husband had been all too well acquainted with such methods and it had been one of the frustrations of her marriage that they hadn't worked particularly well on Sabrina. In her efforts to please she had learned to fake her satisfaction, and Stan Northrup's ego had been such that he had never guessed.
Tonight everything was different. Everything was for real. She did not sense the deliberate techniques of the sophisticated lover. Jake touched her body with another kind of knowledge altogether and he left a trail of fire in his wake. When his fingers found the ultimate point of her passion, Sabrina thought she would go out of her head.
"Now, Jake! Please, now!" This couldn't be her, pleading for a man, but it was. It was.
"Spread your wings for me, butterfly," he growled, his hand prodding apart her thighs. "Spread your wings and let me take you completely."
She obeyed, deliriously caught up in the moment. His sensual imagery made her feel exotic and exquisite and ecstatic. What butterfly would resist capture when the hunter made her feel so incredibly special?
"Hold on to me, sweetheart," Jake whispered as he settled into the warmth between her legs. "This time we'll fly together."
And then he moved against her, thrusting forward to pin her body inescapably beneath his with a force that left her momentarily stunned. As an act of utter possession, it was almost indescribable. Sabrina knew herself claimed, her slenderness made a part of him. She froze beneath the psychological and the physical impact.
Her lashes lifted, her eyes seeking his as he lay still and hard within her. She found him looking down at her, his face only inches from her own. The moonlight played against the starkly etched lines of his face, and the unfathomable depths of his eyes were a timeless primeval sea.
For an eternity they lay utterly still, their eyes locked together as fiercely as their bodies. The messages that passed between them were intense and timeless and, to Sabrina, not completely understood. Then Jake's hands moved to wrap her close, crushing her small breasts with his broad chest, and he began a rhythmic motion that seemed to build a spiraling stairway. Together they climbed the glittering passage, racing upward so rapidly that Sabrina's breath started to come in quick little gasps.
She felt the strange tightness in her lower body and clung violently to the hard contours of Jake's back. Something was happening within her that she didn't quite know how to handle. The only safety lay in hanging on to the man responsible for the intense, tautening sensation. Her nails sank deeply into his skin and the small pain seemed to please him.
"Oh, Jake, please, I don't... I can't... What will happen?" The words came in broken little shards from her lips as her eyes squeezed tightly shut and her nails dug deeper.
"Fold your wings around me and hold me as close as you can," he grated against the skin of her shoulder. "Hold me, butterfly!"
Mesmerized by their dizzying flight, she did as he said, wrapping her legs around his waist and tightening her arms at his neck. He slid one hand beneath her to the small of her back, briefly playing once again with the nerves there, and then he probed lower with a calculated touch.
"Oh, my God! Jake! Jake! " Jake choked off her cry with his mouth.
Everything seemed to burst within her. An unbelievably voluptuous convulsion took her, sending reverberating shivers throughout her entire body. Sabrina lost herself in it, surrendering completely to it and the man who had caused it.
Her reaction sent Jake hurtling over the same ledge. His body arched violently against her and he used the depths of her mouth to stifle his own shout of satisfaction.
It was only as Sabrina
